Step Up Step Down 2012.

Hallo! :D 

Here's an overdue update about Step Up Step Down 2012 (10th Aug, teehee). 

So yup.

CF started off with the ushers waiting by the stairs (their usual haunt on the Fridays that we do have CF), scaring welcoming people with their very loud greetings of "HI, WELCOME TO CF," & whatnot. :D

Soon, the corridor started filling up with people & stuff, so THEY ALL SAT DOWN IN CLASS, yay! :D

Then, worship started, with Yi Fen worship leading, accompanied by Amanda & Yi Qian with Boon Kuan on the guitar.

Questions we ask

Hello,
On the July of 7th, we had "Questions and Answers". And so this is for those who did not attend yesterday's meeting but is dying to know the answers to our everyday questions, such as:


1) If God wants me to be happy, why do I suffer?  

2) What made it OK for God to kill women and children in     
    the Old Testament?

   3)Is it biblical to think that physical attraction must be a 
      component of a godly marriage?

4)How can I break free from an addiction to  
   entertainment?

  5) After death is there a last chance to be saved?

As you might have realized, all the videos have John Piper in it. Anyway, hope you have enjoyed the videos and have a blessed week. =)

Homer The Musical

HI! You're probably wondering, hmmmm, homer the musical. You're going to talk about...a ...musical? Why yes, yes I am. =)

The musical is  about two individuals decide to step out of each other's comfort zones to walk 

through life together, the face a daunting question: can they truly overcome their differences 

and 

be together?

For him; a wholesome background, a virtuous personality.


For her; a broken family, a jaded persona.


From scene to song, and from song to swing, join us as we step into the shoes of one 


watching the entire story unfold. Will Gomer never find real love, or will Hosea's unrelenting 


pursuit finally win him Gomer's hardened but fragile heart?


Who can turn down a love story right?





HOMER The Musical  is a musical project organised by the youth groups of both Petaling Jaya Gospel Hall and also Subang Jaya Gospel Centre. Besides being a theatrical performance at heart, the main purpose of HOMER at the end of the day is actually for youth development and empowerment. 

But while the cast and crew may comprise of many youths, the story is one of universal messages which young and old would surely be able to relate to.

The Unexpected

HI guys! It's been awhile since this blog has been updated. Sorry for that. So everyone's mid terms exams is coming up and here's a devo, ( why yes, another devo ) to read which might cheer some of you who are going through hard times. What struggle or personal pain have you been trying to hide from God? Why is it vital that we confess our true spiritual and emotional conditions to Him?

Unexpected journeys. Little and big—life is full of them. A quick trip to the grocery store turns into a car accident, injuries, and several months of recuperation. A routine drive home from work turns into a breakdown on the highway and a lengthy wait for a tow truck. A call on the cell phone turns into the news that someone you loved has passed away. A checkup with the doctor reveals that the cancer is back with a vengeance.

We can negotiate the little unexpected journeys of life—mostly. The big, unexpected journeys, however, can turn our lives upside down. During such times, some of us have a faith that remains solid. Some of us genuinely resonate with what David wrote about in Psalm 23:4: “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me. Your rod and Your staff protect and comfort me.”

Others of us have more of a struggle. We go through times when we experience what David wrote about in Psalm 22:1, “My God, my God, why have You abandoned me? Why are You so far away when I groan for help?”

Are you going through one of those major unexpected journeys of life? Is your faith like the one found in Psalm 23? Or do you find yourself in the place David spoke from in Psalm 22? Wherever you are, don’t pretend with God. Know that He is gracious and meets you where you are.

God doesn’t want us to stay in the opening verses of Psalm 22. But David’s highs and lows recorded in the Psalms show us that during difficult, unforeseen journeys of life there are moments for both ardent faith and honest pain.

Cf camp Testimony!

Hi! This is really late but still important to hear anyway. May I present to you testimony number 1 by an awesome dude bout CF camp. =D

Hey guys, I'm Dylan! Firstly I wanna start by saying how AWESOME camp was. However, the weather there can seriously make you shiver like crazy. 

Anyways, I've only been to CF camp  3/5 times throughout my entire high school life. And let me tell you this.. I totally regret that! I missed out on 2 years of fun  Alright so, whats CF camp all about? Sure its having fun with your friends during the activities and all but the main reason we go for this amazing camp is to create a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God.

Well, of course you dont have to go for camp just to have that relationship with Him. However, imagine yourself praising God with LOTS of other people doing the same too! Dont you think you'd feel more encouraged and motivated to give Him your all? After all, He is our loving and caring father in heaven and He deserves everything from us. Sooo did I learn anything from camp? SURE DID! I now understand what it really means to be a christian. I have to admit.. All this while, my faith in Him wasn't really that strong. I still had doubts in Him. Fortunately, thanks to our speaker, Michael Williams, I'm sure that he did not just guide me to the right path, but also the rest of the people who went for this camp.


So should you go for camp next year? The answer now is really simple no? OF COURSE YOU SHOULD! Why? Well let me ask you then.. Why not? 4 days and 3 nights of crazy fun with your friends, super fun activities that'll keep you wanting more and most importantly, a perfect oppurtunity to create that relationship with God. Dont miss out on camp as I have. Trust me, you'll certainly regret it. One day!

Easter! =D

Hello! We have CF this Friday ( 6th March 2012) at Block F during CF time ( 12.45 - 2.00pm)! =D 

What is Easter?
If you've been told it's about a bunny who carries a basket full of eggs, guess what, you've been lied to *gasp* That's right, no such bunneh exists!

So what is Easter?

It's the celebration of Jesus Christ's rising from the dead (His Resurrection) after His crucifixion which took place on what we now term Good Friday.

And WHY did he die for us?
FOR OUR SINS! EVEN BEFORE HE KNEW US! He died for us out of love. Can you believe that he was destined to die? Just like what John 3:16 said, 'For God so loved the world he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.' REMEMBER THAT! (:
